- Searching a disease will allow you to view the position of a given disease in a classification.
- Searching a group of diseases will allow you to navigate within a classification, starting with a major disease term and navigating towards the minor terms.
In both cases :
Enter your requested disease name in the in the query zone and click OK to validate.
You may use truncated names.
A list of all diseases matching your query will appear. Select the one of interest to you.
A list of all classifications containing your selected disease will appear. Select the classification of interest to you.
::Search a disease
Search a disease will allow you to view the position of a given disease in a classification.A list will appear containing diseases positioned both above (more major terms) and below (more minor terms) your requested disease in the classification. Click on one of the listed diseases to obtain further information about this disease. Click on the “back” button in your navigator to return to the classification.
You can return to the list of relevant classifications at any time by clicking on the “return to list of classifications” link
::Search a group of diseases
Search a group of diseases will allow you to navigate within a classification, starting with a major disease term and navigating towards the minor terms.All minor terms classified immediately below your requested disease will now appear. You can now:
- Click on the “+” symbol to view the drop-down classification containing more minor terms.
- Click on the “-“ symbol to return to the previous step of your search.
- Click on one of the listed diseases to obtain further information about this disease. Click on the “back” button in your navigator to return to the classification.
You can return to the list of relevant classifications at any time by clicking on the “return to list of classifications” link

Classifications are based on published scientific articles and/or information provided by experts in the field. The information source is cited for all classifications. Existing classifications are updated regularly and new classifications will be added. However, classifications may not be exhaustive.
