Direct access to data
Summary
Annular pancreas is a developmental anomaly in which the pancreas forms a ring around the second part of the duodenum, usually leading to a duodenal atresia. The malformation is very rarely familial, but if so, it is thought to be transmitted as an autosomal dominant trait. *Author: J.A. Chayvialle (June 1999)*
